Printers[edit]

I know Juki as a printer company. I used one of their daisywheel Juki 6500 printers, secondhand, until I could no longer obtain ribbons. So a paragraph on their printers, and research into other product lines, would be useful. REH11 (talk) 03:24, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I came here to ask about this -- is this definitely the same company that made daisywheel printers back in the '80s?--NapoliRoma (talk) 06:36, 15 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I've found a PDF manual:
https://ia601904.us.archive.org/26/items/bitsavers_jukiJuki61p83_7056599/Juki_6100_Operation_Manual_Sep83.pdf
Copyright note in the Juki 6100 manual is for "Tokyo Juki Industrial Co Ltd, Tokyo, Japan".
This matches on the list of names given the the sewing machine company's corporate history:
http://www.juki.co.jp/company_e/nenpu.html
Address label further along, says:
23-3, Kabuki-cho 1-chome, shinjuku-ku,
Tokyo 160, Japan
Cable: JUKI TOKYO
Telex: J22967, 232-2301
Phone: 03 (205) 1118, 1189, 1190
The logos look very similar.
There's no specific online reference though. Their technological expertise is in the same area.
Perhaps, for marketing purposes, they deliberately omitted their 1980s detour into printing. REH11 (talk) 23:27, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
