Top 1000 Countdown[edit]

I think the "Top 1000 Countdown" might be worthy of mention. I don't know if KISW does it anymore, especially since KZOK seems to have taken it upon itself to continue the tradition. Perhaps it moved from KISW to KZOK with Steve Slaton. Things I'd like to know are the years it began and ended. I recall they aimed to reach the number #1 song around midnight on December 31st, but I know one year when they didn't reach it until around 2:30 AM. The KISW countdown was a 24-hour round the clock event, whereas the KZOK countdown is (or has evolved into) a daily segment running from 10 am starting on Christmas day (dec25th) and ending around either 8 or 10 PM. tharkun860 13:04, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

KISW 15TH ANNIVERSARY PARTY[edit]

Are there photos of the party on the web? Also is there a written line up of the celebs that attended?

I attended this party. Sam Kinison performed, although he's not listed on the invite. http://dmwimages.com/website/details.php?gid=&pid=1756 Jennsten (talk) 15:12, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Queen Anne Hill Translator?[edit]

At one time, I believe there was a translator on Queen Anne Hill that used the call letters K23AA. Can anyone confirm? I believe it was on 103.7 MHz. Dmine45 (talk) 23:19, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merger with BJ Shea Morning Experience[edit]

It is totally inconceivable that this local radio show has as exhaustive of a wikipedia page as is dedicated to it. I have proposed it be merged with KISW. Bluecanary99 (talk) 18:48, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. A quick google news archive search points to GNG being a possibility. The exhaustive nature of that article simply needs to be fixed. Fixing includes removing unsourced information or adding sources. There is actually a base for a great article if sources were actually provided.Cptnono (talk) 06:55, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wither Steve Rock, and Metal Shop[edit]

Got a double for people here per some changes.

First, I think Steve Rock may be floating around, but don't know - can't check the website from here.

Second, anybody got the names of the new DJs for Metal Shop? They came in last week. --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 00:58, 1 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

With regard to Metal Shop, it should be mentioned that it debuted in the mid-1980's or perhaps earlier. Beau Roberts hosted back then. I'm sure Steve Slaton could confirm. Jennsten (talk) 16:38, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

John Langan - spelling[edit]

John Langan's name is spelled two different ways on this page. In the "History" section, it is spelled "Langan." In the "Epic Rock" section, I believe it is misspelled ("Langen.") I cannot site a reference and therefore am not editing anything, but believe the correct spelling is LANGAN (not Langen.)

Lowdown was there before Dan Wilke[edit]

The current article attributes "Lowdown" to Dan Wilke, however, I remember it as being pre-Wilke. Steve Slaton was hosting "Lowdown" before Wilke even worked for the station. I listened to "Lowdown" quite a bit in the earlier to mid-70s, Steve Slaton hosting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Boblippold (talkcontribs) 18:08, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
