Town and camp[edit]

Should the town and the refugee camp have separate entries? Bruxism 16:56, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Meaning of Kakuma[edit]

Kakuma is the swahili word for "nowhere" i do not think that is accurate — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.215.83.201 (talk) 11:28, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, however it's properly sourced. The threshold for inclusion on Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. I did some googling and Swahili-English dictionary checking and could not find a meaning for the word Kakuma, nor did I find any information to support the assertion that it means 'nowhere'. However, I did find some writings that mentioned people being told that it means 'nowhere', which means this isn't a fringe idea. I have changed the wording to neutrally reflect the fact that it's been asserted, but is not necessarily true. BigNate37(T) 20:00, 29 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A lot of dubiuos supposition[edit]

Some of this stuff about $200,000 per month sounds very tabloid. Isnt that about a dollar each? Victuallers (talk) 15:50, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
