Well done so far! While of course this is just a start, you have what looks like a good lead in section and summary of the whole concept. The tone, formatting and writing is overall very well polished. My potential suggestions would be: while you have a wonderful overall summary, I'd love to eventually see little subsections that go into more detail about specific pieces of the whole topic (ex. the role of music, the role of the MPLA and the Angolan independence struggle, Afro-Latino "rediscovery" of their identity in Brazil etc as suggestions) overall though the subject is well handled and the writing so far is great, I'd mainly just love to see more eventually. Good luck!! Ksparikh17 (talk) 22:01, 7 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Tina's peer review[edit]

Stephanie is creating a new article on the Kalunga Project. She is using a neutral tone throughout the entry, which is encouraged by Wikipedia. The sources Stephanie has been using all come from reliable sources, either from books or academic journals. I think on these two aspects she did an amazing job. However, there are also some aspects she should improve, such as including a section talking about how pop culture plays a role in the Kalunga Project under the "Brazil-Angola relations" part, since it was mentioned several times previously, both in the leading section and the beginning of this part. She should also revise the headings of some sections so that it can more accurately reflect on what she was covering. For example, the heading "Brazil-Angola relations" should be somehow more specific, since what she talked about in the section can not be referred to generally as such. The section, "Origin of the name", in my opinion, should go under the previous section, before the 'semba' sub-heading because it helps with the overall logic flow. In the last part she talked about worker advocacy in the content of the performances. It is connected with the communism promotion mentioned in the leading section. I think she should make the connection more obvious by reinstating the political part of this project in the last section. I would say that the author did a good job on finding the contents, a little more organization to help with the logic flow can be greatly beneficial for the article.
