Notable Kappas Guidelines[edit]

  1. Write the name with a link, the Kappa chapter, the notable information about the person, and a reference. Example:
  2. Make note of any special membership status (i.e. Honorary Membership) Example:
    • Julia Ward Howe (Phi, honorary member)- Lecturer & reformer; author of Battle Hymn of the Republic
  3. Consider the proposed guidelines for inclusion in the "Notable Kappas" listing for this article:
    • The individual must have a wikipedia entry, or at a minimum, be worthy of having one. (I realize that wikipedia doesn't confer notability, but it seems reasonable to state that if you are not notable enough to warrant a separate article, you aren't notable enough to make this list)
    • The individual must be an initiated member of Kappa Kappa Gamma, or if the person is an honorary member or affiliated through some other means it should be noted on their entry. (i.e. Honorary Membership)
    • The individual must not have returned their badge/ renounced their membership at any point (e.g. Candice Bergen, Angela DiAngelis, et al).
    • The individual should have a reference that cites their membership in Kappa Kappa Gamma, per the wiki policy of citing sources.

Note: For previously included notable Kappa names and further discussion, please see the Archive Version of Talk Page

Fair use rationale for Image:Kappa crest.gif[edit]

Image:Kappa crest.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Bruce Ivins[edit]

According to an LA Times article — "Bruce Ivins and the anthrax killings: A troubled mind" by David Willman, May 29, 2011 — Bruce Ivins was obsessed with discrediting Kappa Kappa Gamma over decades... -- AnonMoos (talk) 00:45, 31 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not Wanting To Know About "Throwing"[edit]

The section on purported hand-signs should be considered for deletion on the basis of non-relevance, if not for non-intelligibility.It displays all the earmarks of overly self-referential and internecine pseudo-anthropology, trying to pass as, socially relevant information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bjhodge8 (talkcontribs) 06:48, 23 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Membership Citations[edit]

This section on membership of Kappa Kappa Gamma should be cited and more accurate facts should be included. Please address the differences of sorority recruitment from chapter to chapter, including the specific minimum grade point average. Courtneykane15 (talk) 18:12, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
