@Lcmortensen: Thanks for your updates to the Karamea Aerodrome article. I found this source that says the elevation is 9m MSL [1], but having been to the Karamea area, I doubt this. The area around the aerodrome is really low lying, with wetlands and coastal lagoons close by. Looking at the NZ Topomaps online [2] you can see that the 20m contour is far away to the east, so given the proximity of the aerodrome to the coastline and estuary, I find it difficult to accept that the elevation is 9m. If you hover over the site in Google Earth, it says the elevation is 2m. Not sure how this uncertainty might best be resolved if published sources are wrong ? Any suggestions ?
