2005 Award at LANL Suggestion[edit]

The article currently says: "In 2005, Sanbonmatsu was the first transgender person at Los Alamos National Laboratory to be awarded the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers." Apparently, Karissa was still presenting as male and using a stereotypically male given name when she won this award.

However, the current text implies that she was out as transgender and/or transitioned before she won the award. Moreover, there is no source cited for the claim that was the "first transgender person" at LANL to win the award.

I propose to revise the text to read as follows: "In 2005, Sanbonmatsu was awarded the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers." --Mox La Push (talk) 00:15, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
