WTF[edit]

"In August 2008, Garraway raised eyebrows when she..." raising eyebrows sounds fucking stupid 62.56.127.49 (talk) 16:02, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

According to this definition of raised eyebrows it seems that people were surprised by her actions. Feel free to be bold and re-work the sentence if you wish. Cheers Paul Largo (talk) 20:20, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Abingdon[edit]

Just a note for anyone who's thinking of changing her place of birth from Abingdon, Berkshire to Abingdon, Oxfordshire (as people do from time to time). Prior to 1974, Abingdon was in Berkshire, meaning that when Kate Garraway was born, she would have been born in Berkshire. The article should reflect that. Have now inserted a note regarding this [1]. TheRetroGuy (talk) 11:47, 3 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Ethnicity"[edit]

The article refers to Ms Garraway as "English" and "British", and her "ethnicity" as "White British". As far as I know, very few people on Wikipedia have their "ethnicity" stated in their entries and I wondered why Kate Garraway has. Poshseagull (talk) 18:17, 12 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Regional station & news programme names[edit]

"In 1994, Garraway joined the South edition of ITV News Central on ITV Central as a production journalist, reporter and news presenter. In 1996, she became co-presenter of the South East edition of ITV News Meridian on ITV Meridian after she was "talent spotted" by a boss who viewed Garraway presenting a three-minute bulletin on ITV Central."

This doesn't read right. In 1994, Garraway would've joined Central News South on Central TV, as they were know at the time. I don't think rebrands taken years into the future should be applied retrospectively. Certainly, it doesn't appear to be the done thing on Wikipedia. 79.69.221.175 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 15:04, 15 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
