Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here) Kaylee Bryant does have a large following. I was just readding my citations. There is no reason this page shouldn't exist. Danielle Rose Russell has the same kind of info and her page is left alone. --DAYLEElegacies (talk) 20:33, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There are several reasons this page should not exist: 1) Russell credibly meets WP:NACTOR having been main cast on two TV shows; Bryant has not. 2) Russell credibly meets WP:BASIC; Bryant does not – none of the sources you have tried to add are WP:RS, and Bryant has received none of the kind of in-depth coverage necessary to meet WP:BASIC. Based on your efforts, I now fully support the speedy deletion of this article. --IJBall (contribstalk) 20:35, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I reverted back to the version that just redirects. I'm not opposed to someone trying to speedy or XfD the current version, but the redirect to the relevant TV series is more appropriate than a biography with no sources other than the subject of the biography. Note, please, Wikipedia:Redirect#Categorizing_redirect_pages, which states that this redirect should not have any categories that are normally applied to articles. (And User:DAYLEElegacies, you'd be well advised not to continue edit warring on this page, or on the page for the TV series, as you have been.) ST47 (talk) 20:38, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Change Bryant to Kaneshiro[edit]

Kaylee has publicly declared her last name will be changed from Bryant to her original Kaneshiro. I fully support her and request Wikipedia change her page name to 'Kaylee Kaneshiro' as well as her name on other pages. Polaroized (talk) 19:13, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

We need a reliable source for that. OhNoitsJamie Talk 20:36, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Soo that Kaylee herself said that bryant is a made up name. And kaneshiro the original is that reliable enough? 2A02:A462:FD02:0:9096:2343:A4E9:F8F3 (talk) 22:36, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please read WP:RS. OhNoitsJamie Talk 23:27, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
We actually have a policy on this: Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(people)#Self-published_name_changes. Per WP:COMMONNAME, we don't always (or immediately) implement name changes. I suspect in this case the media will start referring to her as Kaylee Kaneshiro. For now, I've updated the article to include her Instagram post. Presentation of stage name/common name in intro[edit]

In the case of other notable people who go by stage names, we show their birth name in the introduction.

Should we add the birth name to the intro, in a format along the lines of "Kaylee Bryant (born Kaylee Marie Kaneshiro)…"? —C.Fred (talk) 22:40, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
