Proposed merge with Kaymu Pakistan[edit]

not independently notable. DGG ( talk ) 16:38, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. Brianhe (talk) 22:50, 22 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Disagree. This article offers information about Kaymu in Pakistan, which is largest online marketplace in the country. Merging it with Kaymu will result in not offer important information to people of Pakistan.202.142.163.138 (talk) 11:33, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Disagree. I personally believe this article is a good source of information for people from Pakistan to know about Kaymu. Hariskhan12345 (talk) 11:35, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Disagree. I think both articles are independently offering value to the readers. Kaymu.com is discussing about the global presence of this marketplace whereas Kaymu Pakistan is about its presence only in Pakistan. Moreover, Kaymu Pakistan, as mentioned in the article, is owned jointly by Rocket Internet and Ooredoo whereas globally it's not owned by Ooredoo but only by Rocket Internet. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.142.163.138 (talkcontribs) 12:31, 28 July 2015‎
None of the disagree comments above explain why having a section under Kaymu is unsuitable. Please tell us which one of the acceptable types of forking applies here and why. — Brianhe (talk) 19:44, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Project-level forking, I think keeping Kaymu Pakistan makes sense based on following reasons.
- Kaymu Pakistan has specific information about key players of the region (not globally).
- The investing body is different, means its owned by different entity.
- Known / popular website in Pakistan means people would like to know more about it. This article is information for people in Pakistan
- Kaymu Pakistan has been published several times in local news (as references suggest) which shows its something of worth to be kept as article.
- Lastly, the article won't be published at first place if the references were not authentic / strong. Kaymu is overview of Kaymu global with international references, whereas Kaymu Pakistan is specifically about local market with local references. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hariskhan12345 (talkcontribs) 07:02, 30 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Disagree. Merger of Kaymu Pakistan with Kaymu is not acceptable on following grounds:
(i) Kaymu is an international business system of Rocket Internet and is growing internationally, specially in continents of Asia and Africa each composed of many countries.
(ii) Each country has its own modus operandi with different infrastructure. If a practice of including a section for each country is encouraged, it will require to focus the country and details of like business with different name of persons and their addresses. This practice will lead to a number of sections in future. It is not advisable because in this situation article will become a page of business directory.
