- {{Extinct turtles}} and fossil forms of both living and extinct turtles requires attention:many extinct articles require either expansion or creation and sources seems hard to come by. A list of fossil forms is being compiled so progress can be charted.
- Patrol: recent changes to turtle articles and check for improvements or errors.

Genus?[edit]

The genus status needs to be elucidated and properly references.

"modern genetic" sources synonimize Pyxidea with the other genus of Asian box turtle, Cuora

simply doesn't cut. With the "splitty" approach used for Geoemydidae at present (Chinemys distinct etc), I suspect a separate genus would be OK at least for the sake of consistency. So I have straightened out the genus, family, species pages accordingly. The issue still needs attention. Dysmorodrepanis 02:01, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
