  • The image is dubious. Uploaded as "own work" by a user with a long list of deleted content. Schwede66 19:06, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • This is so far the only image of Keihäsmatkat I could find. I had not been born when Keihäsmatkat was still in operation. There are images of the company's founder Kalevi Keihänen on Commons but I think they illustrate him personally more than his company. JIP | Talk 19:22, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Would you be fine with the hook running without a picture? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 01:25, 12 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I would, seeing as well it would appear without a picture anyway if some other DYK item is featured with a picture on the same day. JIP | Talk 11:50, 13 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
For what it's worth I think the image of him in the article could probably be used instead, since it appears to be public domain and still shows the company's sign, plus "founder pictured" is shorter than "advertisement flyer pictured" should we decide to use the image. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:53, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The picture of Kalevi Keihänen standing on the doorstep of his company would work just as well. There are precious few pictures of Keihäsmatkat available either on Wikipedia or on Commons, mostly because the company went bankrupt decades before Wikipedia was invented, or the Internet came to Finland in the first place. Should the picture be fixed already on this nomination page or will it be taken care of if the nomination is accepted? JIP | Talk 22:58, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It really depends. Technically the nomination can go ahead regardless of the images, but it would be ideal for there to be some clarification before ultimate approval. Once the image issues are sorted out I can give this a full review. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 02:21, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have changed the picture in this nomination. JIP | Talk 13:49, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
All DYK article criteria appear to be met and I did not find any close paraphrasing. Hook is interesting and cited inline to offline Finnish sources so AGF, but the article doesn't seem to say the tourists "consumed alcohol constantly", but rather that drinking was encouraged at least in part to prevent culture shock. QPQ check only shows one prior DYK credit, please confirm if this is the case. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 08:12, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Should the hook be changed to something like "tourists were encouraged to drink alcoholic beverages, partly to prevent culture shock"? JIP | Talk 09:05, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that would probably be a hookier hook too. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 11:50, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have changed it to "tourists on holiday trips by the Finnish travel agency Keihäsmatkat were encouraged to drink alcoholic beverages, partly to avoid culture shock, and had little to no interest in the local culture?". (I removed the bolding and picture tag from this reply.) JIP | Talk 18:25, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That's a bit too long and clunky, perhaps just focus on the "avoid culture shock" angle? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 23:10, 21 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have shortened the hook. JIP | Talk 06:57, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, looks good to me now. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 08:53, 24 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
JIP, I went to promote this one this afternoon, but see there's a completely unreferenced paragraph in the history section and several in the bankruptcy section. Can you please sort that out and ping me when you've done so? Thanks. MeegsC (talk) 17:51, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have added references for the paragraph about cheap Finnish vodka in the history section. I will have to look at the remaining ones later. JIP | Talk 18:13, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
MeegsC Now I have also added a reference for the paragraphs about bankruptcy. Is the article OK now? JIP | Talk 20:12, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
