Deletion?[edit]

I'm not trying to be mean, but does this guy really deserve his own wikipedia article? The subject seems to be less than encyclopedic. Should we delete? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.43.34.226 (talk) 05:52, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You don't seem to realize the amount of work he's done for the free software movement ! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.24.21.86 (talk) 20:55, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I vote for deletion, sounds more like his resume than a encyclopedia entry. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.179.179.145 (talk) 17:34, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely not. The subject is a notable figure in the free software community. (Ignorance by one anonymous passer-by does not mean a lack of notability.) Yes, this stub could be expanded to make it more encyclopedic and more interesting; that's an orthogonal question. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 140.113.136.219 (talk) 03:27, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Keith Packard / Hewlett Packard[edit]

Mention if Keith Packard is related to the founders of Hewlett Packard or not. Jidanni (talk) 14:19, 27 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

This article need more independent reliable sources to show that this person meets WP:GNG. --Dom from Paris (talk) 13:14, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The {{Notability}} tag has been removed by Gwolf, I agree with him and 140.113.136.219 above: he is notable by himself to all people who happen to be aware of Linux and UNIX history. Regards, Comte0 (talk) 12:26, 30 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
