Comments[edit]

Hi Thumperward,

The updates that you have dismissed as 'nonsense'; why is it nonsense exactly? All input listed happened and is supported by the references provided. If you feel there is anything there not covered by a reference just say so and one will be sourced. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.100.250.228 (talk) 13:13, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Some parts of it were quite obviously personal commentary from begrudged Queens fans, for instance the part about not playing Dobbie in the European games. Other parts were largely irrelevant, such as the continued insinuation that Chisholm was looking for another job. This isn't Chisholm's biography, it's Brannigan's. In the process of undoing the changes I made you removed a fair amount of formatting cleanup in the references. I'll leave this for the next few hours to see if it's improved, but if not I'll be reverting it again. Our policy on the biographies of living people is very clear - they are to err on the side of caution regarding negative material and are not to be used for fan interpretation of events, results or motives. The comments related to Dobbie in the Euro games are a statement of fact - he wasn't selected to start. There is no personal interpretation given in the wording - merely the statement that he was left out.

As is documented elsewhere Chisholm applied for the Dundee job and the Kilmarnock job and as per the wording in the article this coincided with poor form. This is is listed in this article because this affected the club at which Branningan was assistant manager. The word is just a listing of events. What comments do you feel are personal interpretation? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.100.250.228 (talkcontribs) 14:29, 22 March 2010

Please sign your posts. The wording I removed from the article was as follows:

Notably in both games, Chisholm refused to award a starting place to Stephen Dobbie, the greatest talent at the club in a generation

This is "referenced" to a club history article which does not "note" this at all, let alone sing Dobbie's praises (which are all very well and good, but not in such a format and not here). Likewise, the comments on Chisholm's having discussed other jobs were interspersed with commentary (derived from a results table, rather than reporting of such) which cast a rather negative light on the seasonal performance. Anyway, I see that Jmorrison230582 has removed the questionable material again, so it seems that this is resolved. Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 19:56, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
