Proposed name change[edit]

The title of this article is misleading. The Kensington Society was a women's discussion group, originally set up to higher discuss women's rights to education etc. that eventually became a women's suffrage group. They were not a suffragette group as the suffragettes were members of the WSPU. Members of other suffrage societies were known as suffragists and often did not want to be associated with the militant tactics of the suufragettes. If no-one objects I intend to change the article name to Kensington Society (women's discussion group) as they were not suffragettes, and once they became solely concerned with suffrage they changed their name to the London National Society for Women’s Suffrage.
