Importance of the article is "mid" because from the information conveyed in the article it does not seem an especially important strike. It may well be a very important strike and unusual in the context of Kenya and the tea industry, but there is no information in the article to compare the strike with (previous strikes?), when the last successful strike occurred, were the wages rises real wages rises (eg were the wage rises higher than inflation?). Quality scale seems to be a start, there is basic information, but not much and the article is mostly a chronological description of events, not linking to wider issues. For example Unilever is an large global company selling tea all over the world, is there no information available as to the company's reactions about this strike? I hope these comments are useful.--Goldsztajn (talk) 12:16, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I hope to expand this article and also include general information about labour in Kenya. This feedback is extremely helpful. - Damian Doyle (talk) 12:51, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
