"Potentially greater demands"?[edit]
Paul's counsel to husbands cannot be "potentially making greater demands on husbands to love their wives as their own bodies", because Jesus commands every believer (husband, wife, single) to love each other as He loves us. John 13:34 "As I have loved you, you must love one another". There is no greater love than Christ's for the church and this is the love we are ALL commanded to love each other with.
