GA Review[edit]

Putting aside my personal distaste for Youtube "celebrities", this article does a decent job of covering Wu. A few things came up during the review:

  1. I still don't know anything about his videos. What makes them special? What are they about? Can an example from a popular video be given? How about a quotation or two?

  2. Stating that the videos "are funny" in the lead is point of view.

  3. "his deadpan vocal delivery, animated facial expressions and tendency toward unexpected digressions" is repeated. Varying the prose would help.

  4. "third most subscribed overall" - third most subscribed what? This problem is also repeated later in the article.

  5. What "I have to deal with Stereotypes" video? You can't assume that the reader has watched any of his videos.

  6. "He chose the name KevJumba because his friend used MattJumba as a screename, which he thought was funny, so he decided to use Jumba in his own YouTube username." - this sentence needs a rewrite so that it is more formal and less repetitive.

  7. Putting some of Yang's comments into your own words would help rather than just giving a long quotation.

  8. Saying that he "currently has more than 300,000 subscribers" doesn't work for an online encyclopedia. This information will get dated, so this needs to be phrased some other way. "As of October 2008", perhaps.

  9. Can you give a brief description of the shows mentioned in the "Other work" section?

Looks good. The article has been cleaned up, and I have a much better sense of who he is now. Since the article meets all six of the GA criteria, I am promoting it. Congratulations, and thanks for your hard work and quick response.
