shortened the remarks about Vann's episcopate[edit]

Done today, Sept. 22, 2012. Bishop Delaney died before Bishop Vann's consecration, which still took place but with Vann immediately taking over as bishop of the diocese instead of being coadjutor to Bishop Delaney. Also, Vann's new appointment (transfer to Diocese of Orange, California) is NOT part of the requirement that the bishop of the diocese (in this case, Tod Brown) offer his retirement when he (Brown) reached 75; there are cases where such retirement is accepted without a successor immediately being named. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.94.52.3 (talk) 22:31, 22 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
