Untitled[edit]

Search engines may also put penalties so keyword stuffing can backfire. If a word is repeated many times, that site might get penalty and get lower rank.

Use other than for search engines[edit]

I've noticed that in sites like Youtube, users will add a large amount of unrelated, but popularly searched terms to the description of their videos to generate more hits, and to appear more often on the "related videos" sidebar. Someone should make a section for this type of keyword stuffing. Zell65 (talk) 07:57, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge with Spamdexing[edit]

I propose we merge this page with Spamdexing. There's already a section in Spamdexing about keyword stuffing, so I see no reason why it should have its own article. BobsFullBogs (talk) 13:31, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Merge – there is too much overlap given the relative simplicity of the terms gilgongo (talk) 12:48, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
