Khallikote Unitary University[edit]

Several editors, most likely with COI, have tried to hijack this article and use it for Khallikote Unitary University. First, this article is clearly about a the defunct Khallikote University and not about Khallikote Unitary University. If one thinks the article should be moved and change its purpose, discussion is required. However, I will note that although the university has a website, and they claim to be UGC approved, as of 19 September 2022, the UGC does not list Khallikote Unitary University in the official list or any other list. Furthermore, they claim NAAC approval, but the latest NAAC list does not include the university. I will not jump to conclusions, but these facts should be taken into account. --Muhandes (talk) 11:52, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The main problem associated with this article is with it's name. The said defunct Khallikote (cluster) University has been merged with Berhampur University. So, it doesn't require a special page as it's short lived. The Khallikote (Auto.) College, Khallikote Cluster University and now the rejuvenated Khallikote Unitary University are same institution with different name using same campus for academic purposes. The government only changed the status of college to a unitary university. The institution never ceased it's operations. Only the Khallikote Cluster University was merged with Berhampur University. I'm a local from this area, so I wanted to correct some information. The said UGC and NAAC listing will update their data as it takes time. For some it's a new name to the institution but it's an age old institution. Prabhu Prasad Tripathy (talk) 15:13, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If I read your point correctly, you agree that "Khallikote Unitary University" and "Khallikote University" are not the same institute. Why then would you move one to the other? Create a new article for "Khallikote Unitary University". Add a hatnote to this article saying it is about the defunct university and point to the new one. Pleased stop hijacking this article.
