Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... (your reason here) --Pkb17 (talk) 17:00, 29 June 2020 (UTC) Khan Abul Kalam Azad is an eminent physician, academic and principal of Dhaka Medical College, Bangladesh. Dhaka Medical College is the most prestigious medical school of Bangladesh. Moreover, he holds many important port folio. His life and works would inspire lots of physicians to pursue their career in MedicinePkb17 (talk) 17:00, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Pkb17 I have moved this article to a draft for now. You can hit the submit button whenever you feel the draft is ready and it will be reviewed by an experienced editor who will either publish it as an article or give you constructive feedback if it isn't accepted. User:GPL93 - I think that a draft is automatically marked as submitted for review when you push it from article space into draft space. (This means that declining the draft would be helpful, both so that another reviewer doesn't need to decline it, and to provide your comments as to what improvement is needed.) Maybe the tool should leave the draft unsubmitted, because presumably the draftifying reviewer thinks that it needs improvement, or they wouldn't have draftified it. Seriously? Well about the 'notability', it's clearly stated that the person is the head of an 'notable' institution in his country with references of that. References' also been put about his credentials, offices he holds. Biographical infos have been taken from his interview with a newspaper and also marked with references. He is an co-author of a medical book and that's also put with references. Furthermore, You can check the 'notability'and 'coverage' of the person by googling his info. People in Bangladesh might want to know about him. I firmly belief he is far more 'notable' a person than the two biographical articles that reviewer Robert McClenon created. Thank you! User:GPL93 - You draftified this page. It appears to me on review that the subject satisfies academic notability. He may have been the head of a medical school. He may have been an officer of a medical society. This draft is not well written and not well documented, but I think that it is more likely that it will be improved in article space than in draft space, and that it will definitely survive Articles for Deletion. My thinking is to accept it, but I would like a clearer explanation of your concerns. The fact that the submitter is insulting us should not affect whether there should be an article on Dr. Azad. Robert McClenon (talk) 22:46, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Robert McClenon When I draftified it was incomplete and lacking in reliable sourcing to the point that another editor had tagged is for speedy deletion through A7. I too believe that the subject passes WP:NACADEMIC so I mostly moved it to draft so that Pkb17 could work on it without threat of deletion from another editor and because it did need to cleaned up and completed. Since then the article has been improved significantly and should be accepted. Best, GPL93 (talk) 22:55, 30 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
