Spelling

He was right in deleting it and I deleted it again: The interwiki link to the Russian Wikipedia is already present on the bottom of the article. That's where such links belong to. — N-true 01:31, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

History

Citizenship vs. ethnicity

I removed the obscure sentence which said that although Khinalig people are Azerbaijani citizens, they're different (from what?) ethnicity. Azerbaijani citizenship and constitution do not define belonging by ethnicity. Atabəy (talk) 22:40, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

Is this a travel guide or a neutral encyclopedia article?

This article is abundant with phrases which leave the reader with the impression that it is a travel guide rather than an article on Khinalug itself. Also, what do phrases like "Archaeological research also will help to give answers to many questions...", etc., mean in the context? Which questions will be answered? And then there are other similar phrases which clearly demonstrate a low level of competence. For example: "Rasul Rza used to compare these houses with a whole range of eagle´s nest." A link to the Rasul Rza article would be helpful, since this writer, who held the post of the Chairman of the Writers´ Union of the Azerbaijan SSR, might not be very well-known to a reader without knowledge of Azerbaijani/Soviet literature. And phrases such as "The local people say that honey is a remedy to cure 70 diseases" or "People say that this land is linked to Noah"... You know, a certain Chechen website claims that the term Нохчийчоь = Noxçiyçö means "The land of Prophet Noah´s grandsons"... but how is this statement relevant in the context? And finally, the assertion that the villagers have seen a snowman in 1988 is surely interesting but the cited source lacks such an assertion. Food for thought indeed. Doubts about the altitude of Khinalug

If you look at Khinalug on open source topo maps, you see that the village center is only 2170 meters above sea level. What is this 2350 m referring to — the highest shepherd hut?? Richard Tbilisi (talk) 11:53, 9 August 2016 (UTC)
