RTE programme and CD[edit]

"The Train" - St Aidan's N.S. Monasteraden, Co. Sligo ... currently excerpts on youtube at www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlaqj2pe6zI ... this may be usable as a reference at some point. I've not fully looked into it. Djm-leighpark (talk) 20:46, 2 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Other references to incorporate at some point[edit]

I remember the 9:25 from westland row is consistent with the 1960's diesel timetable and the time to Mullingar would have been non-stop. We note a journey time on the branch of 40 minutes.Djm-leighpark (talk) 04:01, 3 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why it is called Kilfree[edit]

There are a few citations that show this. gurteenparish.com/links.aspx gives some detail and explanation of the Parish of Kilfree and Killaragth (now generally known as Gurteen Parish) and the townland of Kilfree. Theres a couple of citationations as well. It may be if this can be worked into the Gorteen article it could be referenced from this one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Djm-leighpark (talkcontribs) 19:58, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It is situated in the townland of Cloontycarn and is called Kilfree because Cloontycarn lies in the civil parish of Kilfree.

Undone edit[edit]

I've undone the edit as live citations backed to the wayback machine were replaced by at external link which probably promotes the Bingo ... ( WP:ELNO issue (and while the hearsay from the Gurteen Bingo is great we can't cite it). Anyway there's no R.C. Bishop currently ... SEDE VACANTE. If those links are dead or content changed we can set dead-url=yes or I think there's a webarchive template also.

That said the undone edits may well be an improvement/correction .,. we do need the citations. If you put a bare url in the talk I'll generally be happy to cite it or improve a cite. That said I'm working through the undone edit and expect to restore most of it based on the Civil Parish of Kilfree (between naps, distractions etc). Thankyou.Djm-leighpark (talk) 16:38, 24 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
