Carols[edit]

I put back some of the removed paragraph becuase the format of the carol singers is an important part of the tradition.

Although that is all very nice, could we have something a bit more about the village, and not minute details about the carol tradition . Cheers Lethaniol 00:00, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am glad to see that you have not added in your own point of view on how great this village. Although you are likely very proud of this village, it is best if Wikipedia keeps to a neutral tone. For more info read up at WP:Note Cheers Lethaniol 00:03, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hey I was in the process man of writing up a full article man, but the lads over at Wexford made me hurry up, cos they wanted to remove my home village from the article, its coming though, I'm working on the church, the graveyard, the local school, even the night life :) --Ferdia O'Brien 00:05, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And the carols are older then both of us put together so dont be reducing them to "notes" while I'm around, lol :D --Ferdia O'Brien 00:06, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hey that is all cool. Unfortunately there is always a load of pressure on new articles, when they start off with, to bring them up to scratch and avoid the nasties of WP:CSD and WP:AFD. Good luck Cheers Lethaniol 00:09, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Also note if the carols are really that famous they might deserve an article all to themselves. Cheers Lethaniol 00:09, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thats on the way too, I'm prob gonna even upload the lyrics, seems as there well over 70s after the writers deaths, oh yeah, I have a picture picked out from my own collection for the article, how do I add the note about it being my own work to save it from copywrite issues? --Ferdia O'Brien 00:12, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In terms of the carols - you probably want to add them to a different Wiki - see: Wikisource and then link them from here.
In terms of the image - read up carefully at Wikipedia:Images where it explains how to deal with writing up the copyvio issues.
If you have any trouble with these issues, just ask. Cheers Lethaniol 00:17, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed Merger[edit]

These two villages are seperate places, if we're going to do this, we may as well merge all wexford villages into an article titled as such, and redirect the existing ones. Ferdia O'Brien (T)/(C) 14:57, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Of course a better solution may be to simply rename this article to Sarshill, which is its true name, to call the village Kilmore is a colloqualism, as it is the primary village of the parish of Kilmore. Alternatively, we could create Kilmore Parish and use Kilmore Quay and Kilmore as subheadings, titling the information in Kilmore as Sarshill. Ferdia O'Brien (T)/(C) 15:33, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And of course a further solution would be to simply leave things as is. Ferdia O'Brien (T)/(C) 15:36, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
