I just wanted to add a note of correction. I played in the King Cotton Classic in 1990 as a member of the Russellville Cyclones. We won the championship that year beating Jason Kidd's team (St. Joseph's from Alameda, California) in the final. On the Wikipedia page for the King Cotton, it says Corliss and Kidd played against each other in 1996. That is incorrect. They played against each other in 1990. Also, there were not 7,600 people at that game. There was a winter storm making its way through Arkansas that night (December, 29th 1990). The storm had already hit Russellville and it was snowing there, while 100 miles away in Pine Bluff, it was about seventy degrees, but the storm was on its way. Since we don't get much snow in Arkansas, a lot of people decided to stay home and watch the tape delayed broadcast on ESPN the next day. In December 1991, Russellville again played for the King Cotton championship. This time they played against DeMatha Catholic, but lost by a point or two. This game could have been the one that 7,600 people attended. I was in the crowd that night, as a fan as I had graduated the year before, and there were definitely more people in attendance than there were the year before. Also, I remember the Pine Bluff Convention Center, where the game was played, had a listed capacity between 6,000 and 7,000. So, 7,600 sounds like a reasonable number especially if the fire marshall was turning people away. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DaxLuningham (talkcontribs) 17:12, 31 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
