Talk:Kingston Norman Rogers Airport

The name of this airport is a little tricky. Nav Canada publications list it only as "Kingston" (i.e. Kingston Airport) -- perhaps the city never bothered to register it as "Kingston/Norman Rogers" with Transport Canada. Still, I think we should include "Norman Rogers" after a slash following standard Nav Canada/Transport Canada usage, since that's how the city refers to it (and there's no information loss that way). "alternative" vs "alternate"[edit]

I changed the word "alternative" back to "alternate". The alternate is the backup airport listed on an IFR flight plan in case the weather at the destination is too low for landing. David 01:09, 2005 Jun 13 (UTC)

Plagiarism[edit]

It's not a surprise to find major plagiarism on a page that does not get many hits. Much of this page is copied verbatim from the airport's home page. I wonder.... does anyone care enough to change it?

One confusing line in this article... "As one of the only public airports to offer an ILS approach along the corridor between Montreal and Toronto (along with Ottawa), the Kingston airport is an important alternate during low weather conditions." Either it is the ONLY airport between Montreal and Toronto to offer and ILS approach - or it is not. It would be better worded if it said "one of two public airports..."
