"Controversy" section[edit]

Recently, a user has added a "Controversy" section to this article. I think it's out of place because:

  1. It is a relatively trivial matter — the city sued a blogger but the lawsuit was denied and they will now appeal — that would warrant only a couple of sentences, or perhaps nothing at all.
  2. It is partly written in a journalistic style (e.g., with a quote from the lawyer involved in the case).
  3. It seems to be POV-pushing, twice mentioning "corrupt officials".

I have tried condensing and reverting, but the user has restored the content each time. It might be helpful if others would take a look. — P.T. Aufrette (talk) 01:51, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  1. The first time you deleted it I took out the words "corrupt" because i assumed that's what the problem was. The next day you deleted it again. I will take out the word "corrupt." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.80.219.189 (talk) 21:18, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation[edit]

How is the name generally pronounced in (Quebec) French?--Solomonfromfinland (talk) 18:38, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It might be better to ask this question at fr:Kirkland (Québec). Indefatigable (talk) 15:55, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
