Dress code?[edit]

I found this article when reading the article on Berlin. I have never been to this club (or even seen it), but the dress code sounds similar to what I wrote in the article dresscode (BDSM). The KitKatClub doesn't sound like a BDSM club but the description given sounds like it accepts similar attire. Would it be worth a wikilink? JIP | Talk 18:31, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are some similiarities, however linking to BDSM dresscode could, imho, result in more obfuscation than clarity for the readers.

First, although quite a part of the KKC guests are into BDSM or at least interested, KKC is not a BDSM club. The only requirement is tolerance.

Second, "dress code" at KKC is much less fixed and strictly determined than in BDSM events. You may dress in well-known "code style" to show you're part of a certain community, to express your sexual preference or just to make it easier contacting people from "your hood", but as well invent your own style or mix them and play with symbols just to see what happens. Disambiguation is part of the game. In my view, this attitude promotes contacts between people from different groups and helps finding interest or even pleasure in new forms of erotic behaviour that one wouldn't have tried in other circumstances.

To get an impression, take a look at the bottom of [1]. The text above the picture says:

Dresscode
always means:
Fetish, Latex & Leather, Uniform, Kinky, Stylish, Glitter & Glamour, Ball Gown & Elegant Evening Dress.
No normal streetwear & No underwear (we are no swinger club)!
For all new guests to KKC: Couples will be admitted first!

Non-stop party[edit]

The KKC party program for July 2007 (http://www.kitkatclub.org/Home/Club/Termine/Index.html) presents more or less the same pattern of events for Friday nights in the new location in Sage Club like at the former place at Bessemer Straße. While Saturday nights, the famous "Carneball Bizarre" parties continue to take place, the Friday night events are being organized by other eventmakers and groups, closely related to Kirsten and Simon, just as it used to be during the last years in the old location at Bessemer Straße. What will change however are the after-hour-parties during Sunday. Under the name of "Freak Show" (readopting the label of the 90's after-hours at Glogauer Straße in Kreuzberg), the KKC staff has changed the concept. Maybe I can give some information next week ;)

Thursday and Sunday night events will be organized by the "old" Sage Club Crew. -- Stiip 15:24, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
