Possible corrupt purpose behind project stop?[edit]

We all know Bangkok Airways has a monopoly on the Samui airport, and a KPG airport would be a big competition to their (only) very profitable asset, by providing an alternative gateway to Koh Tao and Koh panghan an even why not Koh Samui.

Stopping the project forever due to a 4 acre enforcement out of 24 acre project is nonsensical - they could have just ordered to restore the 4 acre properly and keep going plus pay a fine or something.

Given the power of people at the top of BKK airways I wouldn’t be surprised if they pulled some strings to get this situation to happen.

Any facts or articles we could link to build that background context ?

Without that honestly it’s a bit hard to understand why stop an airport project for such a reason 49.228.213.197 (talk) 23:47, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
