Pronunciation

I know the new Korean romanization is based on American pronunciations but the old one uses the name Mun. My question: Is it pronunced as Mun (Moon: English-style) or Mon (Like the Japanese.).--82.134.154.25 (talk) 11:18, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

My vision 👓 for the Wikitable at the Sangpyeong Tongbo's mint marks. 📀

Originally the Stabalisation Office or the Sangpyeongchong ([HANGUL], 常平廳) was the first agency to mint Sangpyeong Tongbo coins in 1633, and eventually various other government agencies (including military offices) began to produce these coins which contained various mintmarks to establish their origin.

Mun circulated alongside Chinese coins.

This article fails to mention that native Korean coins circulated alongside Chinese coins in Korea. all it says is that the currency is based on Chinese coins, there should be a mention of this. --1.55.196.75 (talk) 06:39, 15 June 2017 (UTC)

Revised Romanisation.

I see that the article uses "Sangpyeong Tongbo" a lot, but most sources I could find use "Sang P'yŏng T'ong Bo" is South Korea's spelling used retroactively or something? Often I see South Korean spellings used more often on Wikipedia than outside, even though RR has been criticised for being both "too American to be phonetic" and "not phonetic at all" while MR is still preferred by most numismatic books, "Sang P'yŏng T'ong Bo" remains the de facto standard. --1.55.196.75 (talk) 07:23, 15 June 2017 (UTC)
