Christianity[edit]

Why is the article tagged Christianity, when 90% of Koreans are Buddhist. Chr. propaganda? 192.87.123.159 (talk) 12:46, 22 March 2010 (UTC).[reply]

No, because there are newspapers discussing Korean Christian churches in India, but no newspapers discussing Korean Buddhist temples in India. Information which is not verified by reliable, third-party published sources cannot be included in Wikipedia. Furthermore, 90% of Koreans are not Buddhist. Only 40% of South Koreans (and I presume extremely few North Koreans) express any religious affiliation at all; of those, roughly equal proportions are Buddhist and Christian. See religion in South Korea. Finally, it's quite common for expatriate and immigrant South Koreans to convert to Christianity due to the social network offered by the church. cab (talk) 02:34, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't believe this farbricated figures of your religion in South Korea. In Weste4rn Erope and the Soviet-Union very few people stated their religion but now when they feel the Islamic heat, almost everyone is a christian. After a reunification it will show that Christians are a very small community in Korea. 192.87.123.159 (talk) 11:06, 29 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Your accusations and speculation are entirely unsourced, and have nothing to do with Koreans who live overseas. The World Buddhist Directory does not even list any Korean Buddhist temples in India [1]. cab (talk) 10:52, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I had added Buddhism to the tempate as roughly 50 % of believers in Korea are Buddhists, so I though that it is logical that the same percentage will be applicable to India too. It doesn't make sense to me that only Christians will migrate. Anyway I dont have any India-specific source, so I will let it be. I don't think you will find any Korean Buddhist temples in India because they probably use the local Buddhist temples. --Deepak D'Souza (talk) 13:18, 1 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
