Korean criminal activities[edit]

I have added a section about korean criminal activities in Mongolia with certain references if anyone touch that section WikiAdmin will block you!! Orgio89 (talk) 07:29, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No, "WikiAdmin" will not block people for "touching" something you wrote. You do not own what you write on Wikipedia. Other people are free to edit it for grammar and to avoid repeating things that have already been said elsewhere in the article. The one reference that you added is not new. The article already discussed the prostitution problem and the negative reaction it has provoked from Mongolians. You added some new material about restaurants and import businesses. That I left in. Because that crime subject is now more increasing social issue among koreans in Mongolia so it should be separate tittle as I my adding. So I edited the sex tourism part from previous paragraph. If you really want to hide koreans dirty life in Mongolia you should open maybe separate website and run it. Otherwise it is worldwide encyclopedia so the subject must cover korean activities openly and fairly!! The main principle of Wiki is pursuing true facts rather than hiding or modifications. I tried to copyedit your contribution for some conformance to the rules of English grammar. You simply reverted it and went on to add even more unreferenced material. The main principles of Wikipedia are Wikipedia:Five pillars, among which neutral point of view and verifiability from reliable sources. Covering "openly and fairly" means including both negative and positive information from newspapers and academic studies without sensationalism. We don't generally include sections specifically and solely devoted to negative material. See Wikipedia:Criticism sections.
I am neither Korean nor Mongolian and have no interest in "hiding koreans dirty life in Mongolia" as you accuse. I have written positive, neutral, and negative articles about many countries and ethnic groups. I fairly covered social problems in Korea and among Koreans overseas, like jeon-gwan ye-u (corruption in the Korean judiciary), Durham Stevens (an American politician beaten up and assassinated by Korean nationalists), Oh Kil-nam (an idiot who defected to North Korea and got his wife and daughter killed), atrocities by Korean troops in the Vietnam War, etc. "WikiAdmin" will not question my credentials in this area. Are you happy to write on Wikipedia about negative aspects of your own country and ethnic group, not just other countries and ethnic groups? cab (call) 01:33, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Here the contributors supposed to pursue encyclopedia development ethical standards rather than personal views on the subject. So I am highlighting your contribution with more sharper existing late developments that affecting further trends of referring events and phenomenons in a society. I can use possibly sophisticated book terminoligy as you started in the article but since the most supposed readers of this particular subject is likely very familiar with backgrounds of this ethnic groups either korean or mongolian. It is better to keep main social trend features in the article otherwise the article is worthless writing about an ethnic groups transforming that lacks developmental aspects. You are not responding to any of the concerns I have raised. Stop blindly undoing my edits.
  1. I made some changes in the wording and grammar. This helps readability.
  2. The hani.co.kr reference you added in is already cited in the article as <ref name="SexTourism"/>. I changed it to follow the existing citation style. Stop changing it back.
  3. You added in two sections without references at all. And nothing in the hani.co.kr source verifies your statement about "small Korean restaurants which violate sanitation standards, and shops importing of refurbished, poor-quality products to Mongolia". I removed these unverified statements per Wikipedia:Verifiability. Don't add them again unless you have reliable sources.
  4. You remove the information about Mongolians assaulting Koreans and include only information about Koreans engaging in prostitution and illegal business in Mongolia. This violates Wikipedia:Neutral point of view. You should summarise all of the information in the source, not just the information which you like.
I don't have any personal views on this subject like you accuse me. I am not Korean or Mongolian. You on the other hand are Mongolian and are clearly exhibiting some bias against Koreans. cab (call) 09:59, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
