Source for date of death[edit]

@Macontop: Do we have a reliable source for her date of death? I can find obituaries, but they don't conclusively state that it's her. —C.Fred (talk) 18:03, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The legacy.com obit in particular doesn't connect in any more detail than the name. —C.Fred (talk) 18:05, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
If we have no reliable source for her death, then references to her death should be removed — GhostInTheMachine talk to me 18:35, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello,
The obit clearly states that my dissertation chair was cremated in Georgia and that she resided in Atlanta. We had an email from the Department Chair about the unfortunate passing of Professor Macrakis. The date and place of birth match the info already verified on Wikipedia.
Thank you for allowing this information to be edited.
Sincerely,
Caesar Macontop (talk) 19:16, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is that name and dob alone isn't enough to correlate. There's nothing else in the Legacy obit to tie that obituary to this professor. A departmental email doesn't work, either. There's nothing at Tech's website, and I even checked the Technique for a news story but found nothing. —C.Fred (talk) 20:01, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@GhostInTheMachine: Do this obit and this news item from the GT School of History and Sociology combine sufficiently in your eyes? I'm willing to say yes. —C.Fred (talk) 20:05, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The Georgia Tech article does tie strongly to the WP article, so her death is now sourced. Sadly, the Tech article does not state the actual date, but it does imply that the Legacy obit is OK. I think that the only source for her DoB is the Legacy obit, but assume that will be enough too — GhostInTheMachine talk to me 20:14, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

German[edit]

Why are her books not translated into German - or are they?--Ralfdetlef (talk) 05:04, 25 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
