No SS data! Revert on sight![edit]

Please, do not post Supershadow info as actual Star Wars canon..

Where did you get the relistic picture of Kyle. I thought he was just in the video game Jedi Knights. --Anon.

See under the section 'Portrayers'. --Pictureuploader 09:34, 15 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Merge from Sulon?[edit]

I've added a merge request. Most of the Sulon article is about Kyle, not the planet. I don' t know if the info is canon or fan mod (because I'm only familiar with Jedi Academy), so I'll leave the actual work to people who know more about the topic than I do. --Icarus 08:43, 9 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Not merge. I don't think that someone who wants to read for Sulon, should read ALL the article about Kyle to find what he wants to know. Sulon should and could be expanded (but then again, why not redirect or merge with Wookiepedia?) --Pictureuploader 21:01, 10 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
That's what the Table of Contents is for. Anyone who wants only information specific to Sulon can use it to skip directly to the correct section. --Icarus 22:45, 10 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
And what has a section of a planet to do in a 'biographic' article? That's unlike anything I have seen in Wikipedia. Sulon doesn't belong in the life or universe of Katarn, Sulon belongs to the universe of Star Wars. --Pictureuploader 23:04, 10 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I've reviewed the article, and I think the best merge would be for the Katarn-specific info to be merged here, and the rest to be merged and redirected into Sullust. It would be a tricky call if Sulon weren't the moon of another planet, but this way it's a moot point. --Icarus 17:32, 12 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Why not just shift all the stuff about Kyle on the sulon page onto the Kyle Katarn page? --Phil 16:44, 11 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
That was my first thought, but that would leave next to nothing in the Sulon article. I think the Katarn-specific info should be moved here, and the one remaining paragraph should be merged into Sullust. --Icarus 17:32, 12 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. --Phil 17:53, 12 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Added point: I think Sulon should remain a separate entry and not be merged with Sullust. Sulon might be a moon of Sullust, but it is inhabited by colonists, who more or less ally themselves with the Rebellion and some important events do take place there.
Not merge. --Some guy 00:55, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Death Star 2 Superlaser?[edit]

At the end of the Dark Forces section, it says "Kyle also took part in a SpecForce mission put together by Corwin Shelvay, in which he teamed up with Force-sensitives Shira Brie and Erling Tredway to sabotage the superlaser of Death Star II en route to D'rinba IV." These events do not take place in Dark Forces and I've never heard of them before. Can anyone verify this information? --Some guy 00:55, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I believe it was tied in in the NJO to a story in the Mos Eisley Cantina anthology. --Maru (talk) 05:11, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Any idea which story? --Some guy 23:09, 26 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Timothy Zahn's "Hammertong". The two Mistryl who star in the tale aid in getting a section of the laser (thereby ruining it) to the Rebellion. One of the two, Shada D'ukal, later joins the New Republic in Zahn's Hand of Thrawn duology (indeed, part of getting herself in was revealing how she had aided the Rebellion materially there.) --Maru (talk) Contribs 23:29, 26 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It's mentioned in the Dark Forces Saga web article. It's in the first article. JoJoTrue 01:38, 5 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
How did it fail? (Because obviously the superlaser worked fine.) -Toptomcat 05:09, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Color coded?[edit]

The "Kyle Katarn" header in the infobox was recently changed from red to black. Out of curiosity, are these boxes color-coded in some way? If they are, the edit should probably be reverted. – Mipadi 21:46, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Force Abilities[edit]

Can someone expand on Kyle Katarn's Force strength, powers, and lightsaber skills. 07:05 January 19 2006 (UTC)

Mandalorian?[edit]

FTA:

On the back cover of Dark Forces, Katarn is shown wearing Mandalorian shock trooper armor - this is confirmed when Katarn is captured in one mission and one of his goals is to retrieve his equipment.

Is there a source for this claim? I always assumed that the guy in Mandalorian armor on the back of the Dark Forces box was Boba Fett, given that he appears in the game wearing Mandalorian armor while Kyle notably doesn't. So this looks like speculation or original research to me... 81.86.133.45 (talk) 20:59, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kyle Katarn never wore Mandalorian Armor, the guy on the back of the box is Boba Fett. Boba Fett appears in the game as a boss. The confusion may also be coming from the fact that the Republic commandos are equipped with Katarn armor. Katarn's are also a carnivores creature found on the Kassyyek (wookie home world, i know thats not the proper spelling.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Classic Katarn (talkcontribs) 06:07, 13 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It says "tagged since august 2007"!! Do you really think anyone is going to fix those problems, after 1 year and several months? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Boba Jango (talkcontribs) 01:10, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
