Chris Grayling article content[edit]

This material included in the Chris Grayling article is highly relevant to the LGBTory article, but does not appear to be included:

Anastasia Beaumont-Bott, founder of "LGBTory", a gay rights group that campaigns for the Conservatives, announced that she would be voting for Labour, not the Conservatives, in response to Grayling's comment. She said, "I feel guilty because as a gay woman affected by LGBT rights I am on record saying you should vote Conservative, and I want to reverse that. I want to go on record to say don't vote Conservative. I'd go as far to say that I'll vote Labour at this general election."[33] Beaumont-Bott was joined in defecting from the Conservatives to Labour a week later by prominent gay rights campaigner David Heathcote.

Can someone use the material and sources from that article to improve this one? --92.39.193.94 (talk) 19:23, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

POV?[edit]

Some of the phrasing in the "Equal Marriage Bill" section seems to take a noticeably pro-LGBTory slant. For what it's worth, I am myelf strongly pro equal marriage, but I still think the section could do with rewording a little. For example, "When Iain Stewart MP got up to speak, it had nearly all been said. Stewart is a former Deputy Chairman of LGBTory, and so his words mean a lot to the LGBTory group." That's the sort of thing you'd see on a group's website, not in an encyclopedia. 86.136.249.74 (talk) 19:33, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

New Statesman piece[edit]

An interesting article by The New Statesman covers the LGB Alliance, Stonewall, the LGBT+ Conservatives and the broader Tory position on trans rights in some detail. Worth a mention here and maybe at a couple of other articles. — Bilorv (talk) 23:56, 4 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
