Meaning[edit]

"Lac qui Parle is a French translation of the native Dakota name, meaning "lake which speaks""

I understand the French, but how does/did it "speak"? Lapping of the waves? Something more exotic or legendary? --MacRùsgail (talk) 18:10, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Height of Dam?[edit]
