Viz.: "Assumed" name? While I know the U.K. isn't exactly as reliable a source for Garth Nix information as Australia, then "Lady Friday" is given as the name of the 5th book in the back of our Sir Thursday. And bear in mind that the U.K. Drowned Wednesday had a Sir Thursday synopsis in the back that wasn't present in the Australian edition, either.

I would say that the title is definite. Each book so far has been named after the appropriate Day. As Friday is the immediate day after Thursday, and Friday is known to be called "Lady Friday" on [webpage] there is an almost 100% likelihood that the next book will be Lady Friday.12.17.189.77 04:32, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Australian Cover out[edit]

As is standard with the other Keys to the Kingdom articles - it being an Australian series and all - I propose that the cover on this linked page be made the main cover picture for this article. The Scholastic cover should still be used as an illustrative picture farther down, though, like in other articles (and Sir Thursday used the U.K. cover as another cover example, so it's only fair to keep the American one for this page).

I've Bought This[edit]

I take it back, actually, as it looks very much like the US version has been released early, which is nice for England and Nix's native Australia - oh wait, no it isn't.

Yes, it definitely looks like there was some kind of mess-up as regards to the release date; most sites I've seen still have the release date as March, but they've been letting people order it since February. Lust or Envy[edit]

Someone just edited that to say that Friday is afflicted with envy. The consensus is that she is afflicted with lust, as lust is specific to pleasures of the flesh. If you disagree, please talk about it here before changing it on the page. Alcemáe ^{T • C} 04:34, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect my freind she does not wish the pleasure of the skin but "envys" the pleasure of emotion from humans since denizens of the house can not feel emotion she feels envy which means she desires something that she does not have in other words "pleasing emotions" so therefore envy makes more sense than lust

Emotion is something of the flesh, in the context of human desires. She may want them, but envy has a different emphasis, i.e. envy is where you want something because you feel more entitled to it, or just for the sake of someone else having it. Pleasure or not it is not physical joy she gets from the "experiences" which is what lust is and I am not debating this I am only saying that envy is slightly closer to what Lady Friday shows but Lust slightly makes sense in ways but anyways I have a theory that lust will go to Saturday I believe that Saturday has some weird sorcery allowing her to feel lust and shows it towards Sunday who will have pride (as the head of the whole house makes sense)but anyway it is only a theory

changes are not to be needed but you could put (also been theorized as envy) or something or we can wait for Superior saturday to come out then we will see who is envy and who is lust

alrgith i will agree with lust for now at least until either Saturday or possibly even Sunday comes out Hello this is the original starter of the Lust versus Envy debate. I would like to apologize for starting this discussion for last week I listened to the Prologue to Garth Nix's next book Superior Saturday and just by listening to it I can tell that she is either Envy or Pride therefor making Friday Lust after all.
