Name[edit]

I have a question, if more than half of this lake water surface located on Georgian side, why the main name of this article is Turkish "Aktaş" and not Georgian "Khozapini" ? --Balakhadze 12:41, 20 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it would be a question of where the majority of the lake is located and it would be a mistake to turn the question into a nationality peeing contest. It would be a question of what name do English-language sources more commonly use to refer to the lake. I don't know the answer to that, but that is what we would need to look at. Lake Aktaş is the turkish name for Lake Kartsakhi[edit]

Lake Aktaş (also known as Lake Hozapin, Lake Karsak, Lake Azap, Lake Kartsakhi) is a shallow tectonic lake on the high plateau of the Turkish-Georgian border area, in the east-ern part of Anatolia (41° 12’ N, 43° 12’E). See:[1]. Karel61 (talk) 23:23, 30 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
