Irrelevant link[edit]

Browsing, I was surprised to find the town of Tarquinia listed among the links here. The comune does not confine on Lake Bolsena, and the town is 39.5 km away: there are 2 or 3 dozen comuni closer to the Lake than Tarquinia.... I'll check out the site and, if it's a real resource, attach the link to any article Tarquinia that we might have. Bill 20:42, 21 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Tourist Guide[edit]

Parts of this article are not written in encyclopedic style but are in tourist guide style. I understand the Italians love their lake but this has to made less emotional. I will be doing some work on and will modify it as little as is required. I notice also there are no refs. I Will try to find some. I forego the tags for now since I will be working on it. Hi Bill.Dave (talk) 15:15, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PS. Please stop throwing on chat, tourist and advertising sites in Italian (or any language) in the external links. That is not allowed by Wikipedia. This is for encyclopedic information without the commercials and it is primarily in English. Lots of people do get some free publicity inadvertently (some unwanted) but it has to at least be in an encyclopedic (not a tourist) context. These sites I deleted are just too blatent; don't put them back, please. Thanks.Dave (talk) 15:29, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Assistance with editing offered[edit]

Hi there. I visit this lake most summers with my partner who was born in Gradoli, so will help with editing this page. (Do not be confused by my username which relates to the UK-use of the word Lido to mean an open-air swimming pool.)--Lidos (talk) 17:38, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
