Redirect[edit]

@RAJENDRA82: @RAJENDRA NARAYAN DIGI2: I propose that this article would not pass a deletion discussion if one were started. There is simply not enough significant coverage of this individual to create a useful article. However, the title is useful as a redirect to Varang Kshiti, the writing system that this person created. I tried in the past to make this redirect, but the article's sole author (writing under two different user names, for which I direct attenion to WP:Sock puppetry) has chosen to undo this change, so I bring it here for discussion. Remembering that Wikipedia is a collaborative project that is guided by guidelines and policies, I ask the article's sole author to give some reason why this article should be allowed to remain rather than being shortened to a redirect. @wikidan61 आदि गुरु (कोल गुरु नहीं, क्योंकि कोल का अर्थ सूअर है और यह संबोधन संस्कृत से लिया गया है जिसे औपनिवेशिक दिनों में अंग्रेजों ने प्रचलित किया) लको बोदरा ‘हो’ आदिवासी समुदाय के आदि संस्कृतिकर्मी, भाषाविद, लेखक और ‘वारंगचिति’ लिपि के अविष्कारक हैं. इन पर बना यह पेज किसी भी सूरत में डिलीट या रिडाइरेक्ट किया जाना उचित नहीं है. असल में विकीपीडिया के योगदाकर्ताओं में से अधिकांशतः सदस्यों को आदिवासी भाषा, साहित्य और उनके लेखकों के बारे में जानकारी नहीं है. यह चिंताजनक है कि भारत के आदिवासी व्यक्तित्वों की जानकारी के अभाव में इस तरह की चर्चा चलायी जाती है. हमारा विनम्र आग्रह है कि इस तरह की चर्चा से पहले आदिवासी इतिहास, साहित्य के साथ हुए भेदभाव की पृष्ठभूमि को जरूर ध्यान में रखा जाए.--Johar (talk) 04:50, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

लाको बोदरा जी का सही नाम है "ओत् गुरु कोल लाको बोदरा"। "ओत् गुरु" का मतलब है, "धरती के गुरु"। और "कोल" का मतलब संस्कृत में "सूअर" हो सकता है पर "हो" लोग, यानि की हमलोग के लिए "कोल" का मतलब तो "पंडित" ही रहेगा।

संस्कृत के "कोल" और "हो" भाषा के "कोल" में बहुत अंतर है। केवल अर्थ में ही नहीं बल्कि उच्चारण में भी। लाको बोदरा जी के लिए "आदि गुरु" का प्रयोग मैं पहली बार देख रहा हूँ।Singkiring57 (talk) 09:11, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the full name of Lako Bodra.[edit]

Lako Bodra is known as "Ot Guru Kol Lako Bodra" throughout the whole of Singhbhum and Mayurbhanj region. This Wikipedia page is essentially spreading incorrect information by telling us that the man in the picture, who invented Varang Kshiti is called "Adi Guru Lako Bodra".
