Land recycling is something I have no familiarity with, so this article was very informative. I think it has some solid information that is really useful for someone getting introduced to this topic. I am intrigued to see how this article develops and am looking forward to learning more about it. I think the article headings were effective in their titling and also their placement. This page had good flow, overall. If there was a way to add a few images to this article, I think it would really help the appeal of the page and make it even more interesting. I liked the “Synonyms” heading. That was useful in explaining the different ways this topic is addressed is helpful for someone who has little understanding of this topic. I also thought the “See Also” section was very useful as well since it helps guide the reader to similar discussions that they may be interested in. I think this article is coming along great and it has a very good structure. The headings and subsections were all useful and efficiently explained this topic. Nicely done! I think this topic is interesting and is very important for the future as the environment changes from climate change. Methods such as land recycling demonstrate solid tactics that are going to be vital in the near future. I think the sections and subsections all look appropriate and cover the necessary information. I like how other areas of the world are represented in this article and how there is an explanation about what other responses are. Hopefully, these various countries can collaborate their ideas and implement their strategies for the future all across the globe. My only suggestion for this page would be the addition of figures or images if that is possible. I think that’ll help improve the aesthetic of this page instead of it being just text. I agree that the article needs sources and I suggest that this page really be careful when taking words from other websites. When trying to find sources related to sentences that needed sources, I found a lot of very similar phrasing on websites. So be careful what you're using and make sure to write in your own words. I would recommend adding in a few pictures of figures. There are a lot of opportunities to show examples of what land recycling actually looks like. I also think that aesthetic plays a role in the public perception of land recycling, so it would be helpful to highlight success stories via media attachments. Eb20 (talk) 23:51, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

One major need that I’m seeing for this page is that there are only 10 sources. You will need to add more to prevent your site from being flagged. Ideally, every paragraph should have at least one source. There are a lot of resources on sustainable development that could be helpful if you go on google scholar. Suggestions

I think that the article’s argument is associated with current overpopulation, ecological destruction and pollution problems that are very helpful to understand human dimensions of environmental change. Nevertheless, I think that the lead section of the article needs to be well defined to understand the argument. Besides, the argument needs to be outlined well and support with more data and maps to understand why recycling is important for human health, ecology, environmental justice and sustainability goals of countries. Also, the article needs another argument and section why developed countries send theirs recycle to poor countries. This argument needs more data and case studies. bbakkal 04:23, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

This page seems to be quite biased in favor of the perceived good of land recycling and its part in environmental sustainability. The wording of the writing, for Wikipedia’s standards, could be much more neutral than it currently is. Further, the article is lacking citations throughout most of the page, so those need to be added. The “Global Land Recycling” could be much more developed as the only examples of land recycling given are “Land Recycling in the EU” and “Land Development in Germany” (which is a part of the EU). This section could be greatly expanded not only with more examples from the EU itself but also more examples from around the world. Including the “See also” sections is nice as it easily links relevant and similar topics. Peamarsh (talk) 04:16, 3 March 2020 (UTC)

Overall, this article is well-written, comprehensive, and interesting. In the introduction, you mention that land recycling “aims to ensure the reuse of developed land as part of: new developments; cleaning up contaminated properties; reuse and/or making use of used land surrounded by development or nearby infrastructure.” Each of these new uses should be described in sections below. You extensively outlined the benefits and challenges of the topic, which I found very well-done and sticks to the Wikipedia guidelines of remaining neutral and addressing all sides of an issue. I also appreciated the section on brownfields, as this was the first thing that came to my mind when considering land recycling. I Find this article to be extremely informational. I do see a few areas that may need improvement. To begin, I think it would help to have some information fill in on the right side of the contents box. The long scroll down makes it a little more difficult to navigate. That being said, I believe that this article would benefit a lot from the addition of more sources. There are a lot of areas that seem to be missing key sources, most of which have already been identified. This article was very informative and I really enjoyed the section on market factors and specifically brownfields. The structure of this article was well put together and it flowed well. For my edit, I added a section on land recycling programs with an example of a program in Pennsylvania. This recycling program tackles land recycling issues dealing with contaminated commercial and industrial sites. The introduction to this page is really really well done. You provide a clear definition of land recycling, a comprehensive list of examples, and touch on important topics that would be expanded on further down on the page. You nailed this section. I also like that you have a short section of synonyms that follows, linking to the appropriate pages. I also enjoyed reading the examples you provided at the end. If you are looking for more information to add, I would suggest adding more here as it was just fun to read. It seems a bit strange to me that “adaptive building” is the only subheading under building reuse. If you created a subheading for it, it must mean that this is one of numerous types of building repurposing/reuse. In further iterations of your page, you should add other types of building reuse to this section so readers can have a more developed understanding of the subject. Furthermore, you should expand on the subheading about brownfields. I think brownfields are a relatively new topic for most readers so any additional information would be helpful. However, I would be interested in knowing more about how brownfields are converted into safe public spaces. How are the hazardous substances removed from the land? Lastly, I urge you to be careful about citing your sources. There are numerous paragraphs or even subheadings on the page that do not have any citations, such as the “social and economic revitalization” subheading. Others only have one at the end. You need to be citing material after each claim you make, even if numerous claims come from the same source. You should also provide citations after EACH bullet point under benefits and challenges. Lastly, you should cite the definition of sustainability you provide at the beginning of the sustainability section. In terms of changes I made to the page, I edited grammar mistakes throughout the page when I caught them. I changed the description of brownfields from “desolate eyesores within their communities” to “desolate and unattractive spaces within their communities” to ensure that the description was more neutral and more like an observation/statement of fact. I thought discussing the repurposing of brownfields was a strange way to open the subheading about the benefits of land reuse. For this reason, I made this subject its own subheading, which I titled “treatment of brownfields.” I Have No Authority (talk) 03:17, 7 April 2020 (UTC)

I haven't really read up much on land recycling before, but I did learn quite a bit from reading this article. Very interesting stuff! One of the first issues that I came across include the lack of citations for many of the additions made under the "Benefits" section. A section that I would want to see expanded some more on would be the "Gentrification" portion of the page as that seems like an aspect of land recycling that would highly relate to Human Dimensions. Perhaps add a bit more to the "Land Recycling Programs in the United States" section; currently, it only talks about Pennsylvania. Brmbuck (talk) 01:42, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
