Merge proposal[edit]

This merge would be inappropriate, as Landflucht is an incidence of rural flight, not the event itself. It would be like merging World War II into war. (Not that drastic, but one can see my point). Cheers! Scapler (talk) 09:43, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Don't merge. The flight of rural workers to the urban areas as part of the phenomenon of industrialization is a wide phenomenon, occurring in several countries, not only Germany. Given the snowy response I removed the tag, but. Landflucht is not an incidence of rural flight. It is a German word losely meaning rural flight. I can't judge whether it is used in Germany for a single event or phenomenon though and would appreciate a more justified comment. Materialscientist (talk) 00:15, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
