I think there are some facts wrong on this article. Why does it mention Curt Gowdy was a Red Sox fan? Another guy yelling in the booth was Tony Kubek, and he played for the Yankees. Also, Gowdy wasn't dropped because of this. He was still calling World Series games in 1978. 71.170.223.149 (talk) 04:31, 3 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think it wrongs to say that the Jacksa/Roder manual speaks for 'professional baseball'. The MLB posts it rules on line, (with clarifying comments) and no such language can be found in rule 7.09 (http://www.mlb.com/mlb/downloads/y2008/official_rules/07_the_runner.pdf). I think it should be noted that the Jacksa/Roder manual does not in anyway speak for 'professional baseball". They are books meant to help umpires and many umpires - professional and other. But they are not the sanctioned interpretations of 'professional baseball.--Faceman888 (talk) 15:11, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
