Confusing[edit]

CO2 and excimer lasers are types of gas lasers (Gas_laser), they should not be in the same level.

External Links[edit]

I noticed that my link to the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Inc. (ASLMS) website has been removed from this article and others on which I believe a link would be appropriate.

ASLMS is a non-profit, educational society to which many scientists, industry professionals and clinicians involved in laser medicine are members. I do not feel that including a link to the website for this organization is promotional or advertisement. The Society is the world's preeminent resource for biomedical laser and other energy based technologies research, education and clinical knowledge and therefore, is very relevant to laser medicine and associated treatments and clinical applications.

Furthermore, under the external links section of this article, The World Association for Laser Therapy is listed with an external link to the organization's website. WALT is an organization identical in function to ASLMS, so I am wondering why I am not able to add a link to the ASLMS website to this article when there is similar content already linked?

Please advise how I can correct this issue if possible.

I've gone ahead and remove the WALT link per WP:EL. --Ronz (talk) 22:32, 14 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Can we define Laser medicine[edit]

Is this page about the practice known as 'laser medicine' ? Lasers in Medicine says "No talk of laser medicine can occur without mentioning Leon Goldman, known as the “father of laser medicine.”"
Much of the current page looks like Applications of lasers in medicine or is that the same thing. If emphasis is on technology we could organise by laser type; if emphasis is on medicine we could organise by application eg within diagnostic/stimulation/destruction. - Rod57 (talk) 13:55, 10 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
