images and examples[edit]

This is a nice stub-class article with good references. It would be nice to include some of the mathematical details with corresponding images and examples. Maybe I will get around to adding something myself this week. It is a current project of mine just now.--Михал Орела (talk) 19:34, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The PhD reference used extensively in the article is not accessible!

I have just rechecked the status of the James Maxwell Buick (1997) PhD Thesis and note that it is available at the listed archiv.org link.

FHP nondeterministic[edit]

There is no problem in making FHP deterministic, I don't see why this is stated. --82.113.121.126 (talk) 19:36, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • According to Wolf-Gladrow's book: "...in contrast to HPP the FHP model encompasses nondeterministic rules." (ch. 3.2.1). However, the "random choice" may be made in a deterministic manner, I have added a little sentence on that. Sjakkalle (Check!) 13:24, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed animated gif[edit]

I removed Image:HPP small.gif from the article. It is a large (~40Mb) animated gif that was causing my browser (Chrome 8.0 under OS X 10.6.6) to freeze up every time I attempted to view the article. —David Eppstein (talk) 21:09, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've added it back as a thumbnail ([[Image:HPP small.gif|thumb]]) per suggestion of 64.216.119.125 (talk). The image is not animated, and won't cause your browser to freeze unless you actually click the picture for animation. benzband (talk) 20:35, 18 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
