The information presented in the books may be entirely true, but they are intended to be fiction books and should not be considered entirely accurate. -- 69.19.14.37 22:02, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No such person?[edit]

Is there a Lauren Brooke as the text of this page implies? or any other writer of "her" work beside Linda Chapman? how much of the biographical information provided here refer to Chapman (who lives in Leicester)?

These are the leads of two book series articles:

Chapman says [ref name=about] "All about Linda"

How did you become a writer?
I started off writing under different names. I have written some (but nowhere near all!) of the books published under the names Lucy Daniels, Jenny Dale, Katie Chase, Daisy Meadows, Lauren Brooke. Someone else had had the ideas for the stories but didn’t want to write the books [...]

This implies to me that all five names have been joint pseudonyms.

The German National Library DNB evidently believes that Lauren Brooke is a pseudonym of one Gil Harvey.

Gill Harvey
Oops, that is double-el Gill Harvey at DNB --where note also Autorin, female author (Gillian?).
As many as six distinct Gill Harveys (probably 2 or 3) are represented at VIAF: [1](1967) [2](1963) [3](Cooking lt) [4](Burkina Faso nl) [5](Gulliver's Travels dk) [6](1963).

Minutes later I have inferred 1=3=4=5 (b. 1967) and 2=6 (b. 1963). The former as a heavy-duty children's writer/adaptor is plausibly one writer as Lauren Brooke.
