Lists of works[edit]

What is necessary is to achieve a balance. For those academics in fields where notability is due to a person's published books, we normally list only the books. For those scientific fields where it is brought mainly by published peer-reviewed articles, we list the most cited of those.

For this particular article , it is therefore appropriate to list the books, not the articles. I've restored them books written and made some other changes,and commented on the article talk page appropriately. It may be appropriate to add some of the books edited, and even some of the articles, but I will need to look at them further for that. I hope nobody adds them in the meantimes. The books have to be documented, but that;'s easy to do from WorldCat or another library catalog, as is customary, and I will do it. I hope nobody will remove them while this is pending. Thoss books that may be translations of other books are not listed separately, and I will combine them according to the catalog records. DGG ( talk ) 18:39, 14 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
