Is Nkunda a Banyamulenge?

Ethnicity is all-important in the Congo-Rwanda conflicts and the article implies but doesn't explicitly state that Nkunda is a Tutsi-related Banyamulenge. First of all Nkunda, Ruberwa, Joseph so called Kabila are not Congolese's that's the very truth of the matter now coming with the version that there is an ethnic called Banyamlenge in Congo it's historically false and it's an aberration, in Congolese culture I mean Bantou's culture no ethnic have been named from the name of the place they are living. People always get the name of their ethnic from the language they speak such as Baluba. They speak Tshiluba. Bakongo, they speak Kikongo. Bangala, they speak Lingala and so and so, not the name of their place of living for Christ sake! But Banyamulenge this name came from the mountain of Mulenge where they were living after immigrating in Congo and they speak Kinyarwanda which is a Rwandan dialect. That is why in Congo people call them Banyarwanda not Banyamulenge. They know why they don't want to be called Banyarwanda although they speak Kinyarwanda which is not a Congolese dialect. All of these are mafia against minerals riches of Congo and they re back by some heartless multinationals companies that why this so called civilian war is no getting end with almost six million people died and millions of women raped no! Role of American evangelists

The Washington Post report quoted in the article amounts to an accusation that American Christian evangelists have inflamed the situation by giving Nkunda a sense of righteousness in his actions. The mixture of religious cults at odds with the mainstream culture and allied to political grievances has often had dire consequences in Africa, as has been seen with the Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda and Alice Lenshina's sect in Zambia. If anyone knows of visits made by such evangelists to Nkunda, or can shed any light on the "Rebels for Christ" button which Nkunda wears (which presumably, being in English rather than French, came from Rebels for Christ ministries in the US), can they add it to the article (if referenced) or here otherwise. Map Requested

There is a good map at the Washington Post article as of August 07 that shows an approximation of the areas Nkunda controls. A very POV article

I have done some substantial editing on this article to re-arrange it by topic and by chronology. It is more encyclopedic and NPOV now. Previously it was a very encyclopedic article, it amounted to a character assassination of this individual and it was full of accusations and POV statements. I suggest those interested in continuing to add information first consult a similar entry that conforms to Wiki standards, See Mobutu for an example of how an encyclopedic article can be fair even when the editor may think that the individual is very distasteful. Blood Colton Interview

I've added some updates on an interview that Laurent Nkunda gave for the documentary "Blood Colton" in which talks about his badge "Rebels for Christ" and his association with U.S based Seventh-day Adventists and their message of the "Rebels for Christ" ideology.

What is he fighting for?

The recent content about the current (October/November 2008) troubles leave much to be desired, and simply parrot one-sided reporting from the big media.
