5x expanded by Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk). Self-nominated at 13:47, 28 November 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Lautaro (volcano); consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.[reply]

  • Nice little article, decent hook (though you could consider mentioning that the volcano is in Chile). I can't read Spanish, but I'm happy to accept the source in good faith. Newly five-times expanded. But you'll need to review another nomination before this can appear on the main page. Please do say if I'm wrong! Josh Milburn (talk) 09:59, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    @J Milburn: No, you weren't wrong. Added a QPQ. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 11:13, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    Great; then this is good to go. Josh Milburn (talk) 13:42, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I see in the article "The 1959 eruption was observed from aircraft, clarifying the position of the volcano". I cannot read the source but will AGF. Bruxton (talk) 15:57, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Probable typo in Eruption History[edit]

The article states that potassium-argon dating has yielded evidence of an eruption *30 000 ± 73 000 years. I looked at the source listed, but couldn't find the reference. Munchyhunch (talk) 05:35, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A bit hard to search, but Ages for these samples range from 161±11 ka to 30±73 ka is in the source. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 08:50, 11 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
